The annual
Sustainability workshop hosted by the Institute of Physics and Keele University
is organised by several IOP special interest groups
and the Keele Materials Science community. This workshop aims to bring experts
together to share recent advances and discuss new opportunities and challenges in the
development of materials for a more sustainable future. It follows the previous two iterations of the workshop on materials for
sustainability in 2022 and 2023. This year’s addition is materials for
digital technologies.
The 1-day 'Workshop on Materials for Sustainability and
Digital Technologies' will be held in person at the Digital Society Institute at
Keele University on the 1st day of Keele’s Digital Evolutionary Week. This
event is free, but registration is required.
The workshop welcomes participation
from across the breadth of materials science and has included oral and poster
sessions on a range of subjects including: - 2D materials
- Nanomaterials and composites
- Polymers
- Superconductors
- Energy capture/storage materials
- Quantum materials
- Computational and ab initio methods
