Professor Steve Niederer


Professor Steven Niederer is a leading scientist and researcher in the field of biomedical engineering. He completed his PhD in Computer Science at the University of Oxford, where he focused on the development of mathematical models of the cardiovascular system, before moving to King’s College London as a Lecturer. He currently holds the Chair in Biomedical Engineering at the National Heart and Lung Institute at Imperial College London and is the Co-Director of the Turing Research and Innovation Cluster in Digital Twins at the Alan Turing Institute. His research continues to focus on developing innovative computational models to further our understanding of cardiovascular disease and to help medical professionals make better clinical decisions.
