As part of a series aimed at introducing the various institutes across the UK that perform work related to Shock Waves and Extreme Conditions (SWEC), Professor Daniel Eakins shall discuss some of the work performed at Oxford University on the ultrafast behaviour of materials under extreme loading conditions, as well as the facilities used to undertake this research. This is an evening, online event for non-experts in the field who want to learn about the types of research performed in SWEC science.
