Dr. Niall Murphy is Algorithms Lead at Equal1 Labs, a Dublin-based quantum hardware company developing electron spin qubit quantum computers.
At Equal1, Niall focuses on quantum applications and error correction techniques for Equal1's quantum platform.
He holds a PhD in Theoretical Computer Science from Maynooth University with a research background that spans quantum algorithms, unconventional computation, and computational models inspired by biology.
Prior to joining Equal1, Niall worked in synthetic biology, systems biology, and DNA computing at Microsoft Research Cambridge. He has also held postdoctoral research positions at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and the University of Cambridge.
His core interest lies in designing and analysing algorithms for novel computational paradigms.
