We are excited to host the upcoming Spin Caloritronics Workshop in Leeds in 2025, bringing together researchers and experts from around the world to explore the latest advancements in the field. This annual event continues a proud tradition of fostering collaboration and innovation in spin caloritronics, an interdisciplinary area at the intersection of spintronics and thermoelectric phenomena.

The Spin Caloritronics Workshop has a history dating back to its inception over a decade ago, where it began as a small gathering of pioneers in the field. Over the years, it has grown into an internationally recognized forum, known for its dynamic discussions and the sharing of cutting-edge research. Past workshops have taken place across Europe, Asia, and North America, reflecting the truly global interest in understanding and harnessing the interplay between spin currents, heat, and magnetism.

The 2025 edition will cover a wide range of topics within spin caloritronics, including but not limited to:

  • Spin Seebeck Effect: Understanding the generation and manipulation of spin currents via thermal gradients.
  • Thermally Driven Spin Transport: Exploring mechanisms of spin transport driven by temperature differences.
  • Magneto-thermoelectric Effects: Investigating how magnetic and thermoelectric properties couple in different materials.
  • Ultrafast Spin Caloritronics: Examining the impact of ultrafast heat pulses and femtosecond laser excitation on spin dynamics.
  • Materials for Spin Caloritronics: Development of novel materials, including magnetic insulators, 2D materials, and topological insulators, that exhibit promising thermal spin transport properties.
  • Theoretical and Computational Approaches: Advancing theoretical models and simulations to better understand the physics underpinning spin caloritronic phenomena.

We look forward to an exciting program filled with inspiring talks, poster sessions, and networking opportunities, as we aim to push the boundaries of our understanding and applications in spin caloritronics. Join us in Leeds for what promises to be a landmark event in the field.
