The Photovoltaics Science, Applications and Technology Conference (PVSAT-2026) is a 2.5-day event, each year taking place at a different location in the UK, with the 20th iteration being hosted in Newcastle. It is the UK’s largest scientific event for the broad field of photovoltaics (PV), from materials to PV systems, where the latest advances in research and development are presented and discussed. PVSAT conferences address all PV technologies and applications, from crystalline silicon to perovskites, from microscopy to PV systems modelling, and from PV sustainability to space PV.

PVSAT is the largest get-together of the UK PV research community, and an incubator of new ideas, new projects and fruitful discussions and strategies for the future of PV research. The conference also welcomes a range of exhibitors and sponsors, especially relevant to scientific equipment for PV material and device testing. The programme features talks by several invited speakers from world-leading institutions in PV and it is an established platform for researchers to present their latest findings to the community.

Join us to communicate new research and learn about recent advances in photovoltaic research and development whilst connecting with the vibrant UK solar energy community.
