Joint UK–India Conference on Innovations in Combustion and Energy Transition Technologies
Inaugural Conference on Advanced Combustion, Safety and Diagnostics for Rapid Energy Transition
This inaugural Joint UK–India Conference will bring together researchers, academics, industry professionals and early-career researchers from the UK and India for a two-day meeting examining state-of-the-art methodologies in advanced combustion, diagnostics, sensing, next-generation fuels and fire safety. Core themes include advanced laboratory diagnostics, specialised measurement strategies for hydrogen, ammonia and sustainable aviation fuels, sensor technologies for engines, gas turbines and EV fires, fire and leak detection, fire-safety monitoring and modelling, and emerging artificial intelligence and computational approaches.
The conference will be held simultaneously at the Institute of Physics (IOP), London, and IIT Bombay, India, with the two venues connected through live lectures, interactive sessions and discussions, enabling participants to engage in a shared scientific programme in real time.
Invited talks will be delivered by internationally recognised experts, providing a high-level overview of current research frontiers. Early-career researchers and postgraduate students will be encouraged to contribute through oral and poster presentations, offering a platform to disseminate ongoing work and foster scientific exchange and collaboration between UK and Indian institutions.
