Paul Burns
Met Office

Paul is a Senior Scientist at the Met Office with his work focused on improving the representation of turbulence within the UK’s weather and climate models. A key thread of his career has been to combine theory and computational modelling to further understanding of fluid dynamics within Earth’s atmosphere and oceans, including slow-fast coupling dynamics and nonlinear resonance. He enjoys using mathematics, modelling and observations to improve understanding of the natural world.
