Low temperature physics is an evolving area covering many aspects of scientific research and technology. The field incorporates superfluids, condensates, quantum technology, condensed matter physics and even the search for dark matter.

The 2025 ECR Forum career development workshop will be held at the Newcastle University from the 8th to 9th January 2025. Featuring talks on current and future research, developing skills for research, and opportunities for collaboration building. Guest speakers include Simon Midlik (Lancaster University) and Scott Manifold (Oxford Quantum Circuits).

All in the community are invited to attend to support our ECRs,  the programme is aimed at PhD students, PDRAs and other ECRs. Would you like to share your research? We are offering the opportunity for ECRs to give a short talk at the workshop. For more information, click here. This workshop is free to attend with lunch and light refreshments provided.
