Stuart Cavill is Professor of Condensed Matter Physics and head of the Condensed Matter and Materials Physics group at the University of York. He was local chair of the European School on Magnetism 2024, and general chair of the school for 2025. Prior to joining York in 2013 he was a senior staff scientist at the Diamond Light Source. His current research interests include magnons, magnon-phonon interactions, and magnetoelectric materials.
