Elasticity is a rich and complex topic where there is a growing appreciation that the spatial distribution of "stiffness" is hugely important. This may be in the role of determining function or as a form of contrast, or as a proxy for some other measurement, or as a method of monitoring the state of something, or as a diagnostic tool, or, simply, as a fundamental measurement in itself. Elasticity imaging in many different areas of research has grown up around many different techniques for many different applications ranging from advanced aerospace engineering, through medical imaging to super resolution microscopy. This meeting aims to bring this broad emerging community together in one space cutting across the disciplines, techniques and applications.

Organised by the IOP Physical Acoustics, Biological Physics, and the Optical Groups.
