The HYPATIA (HYbrid Photon detector Array To Investigate Atomic nuclei) array is a novel γ-ray spectrometer currently under construction that will be employed at the Radioactive Isotope Beam Factory (RIBF) at RIKEN Nishina Centre in Japan; the RIBF delivers the world’s most intense beams of rare, radioactive isotopes, making it the leading Nuclear Physics facility for their study. HYPATIA will provide a major enhancement in capabilities over the existing instrumentation, reaching new scientific horizons and challenging our understanding of visible matter. This workshop will bring together the international community to discuss future opportunities with the HYPATIA array and strengthen the scientific user base of this array at the RIBF facility.
