Adrien Desjardins is a Professor at the University College London (UCL) in the Department of Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering. He received a BSc degree in physics and mathematics from the University of British Columbia and a PhD in Biophysics and Biomedical Engineering from Harvard Biophysics and the MIT-Harvard Health Sciences and Technology Program. At UCL he leads the Interventional Devices Group, with a focus on developing new optical and ultrasonic sensing modalities to guide minimally invasive medical procedures. These developments are inherently interdisciplinary and involve close collaboration with our clinical colleagues and industry partners.
