Claire Prada is a research director at the Institut Langevin, CNRS, ESPCI, PSL University in Paris. She studies the propagation of acoustic and elastic waves in complex media using multi-element methods and laser ultrasound techniques. Her work has focused on time-reversal acoustics and the associated DORT method, with applications in shallow water acoustics, ultrasound imaging and non-destructive testing. She also works on elastic guided waves, in particular on zero group velocity and backward Lamb modes, exploring fundamental aspects up to applications in materials evaluation. Prior to her appointment by the CNRS, she graduated from the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Paris and received a Ph.D. in physical acoustics
from the Université Paris Diderot.
