Martin Weides is Professor of Quantum Technologies in the James Watt School of Engineering at the University of Glasgow. After postdoc positions at the Research Centre Juelich (Germany), University of Santa Barbara (California, US), and National Institute of Standards and Technology (Colorado, US), he came to a joint position at the University of Mainz and Karlsruhe Institute of Technology before joining UofG in 2018. He works at the interface of material science and electrical engineering with research interests in quantum computing, simulation, and spintronics applications based on superconducting quantum circuits.
