Research: Experimental and theoretical studies of condensed matter physics at low temperatures, superfluidity and superconductivity, low temperature thermometry, fluid dynamics, properties of two-dimensional systems, classical and quantum heat transport and turbulence. Coauthor of 180+ original research papers registered on Web of Science, including publications in high impact journals such as Nature (2), PNAS (4), Physical Review Letters (12), Physical Review B, E, Fluids (32). Over last five years cryogenic fluid dynamics: cryogenic turbulent Rayleigh-Bénard convection and two-fluid convection, superfluidity and quantum turbulence. Invited speaker at a number of international conferences (International Conferences on Low Temperature Physics LT (5 times+ Half-Plenary 2022 at LT29), Quantum Fluids and Solids (QFS) (5), European Turbulence Conference ETC13, Warsaw 2011 - Plenary, member of various International or Programme Committees, Charrman of the QFS 2016 in Prague; Director of international meetings on quantum turbulence in Trieste (2009) and Abu Dhabi (2011, 2012, 2014 and planned for 2024). Principal investigator of seven scientific projects GAČR: 20-00918S, not yet fully finished and evaluated, 17-03572S, (2017-2019), 203/11/0442 (2011-2015), 14-02005S (2014-2016), evaluated as ``successful”; 202/02/0276 (2008-2012), 202/05/0218 (2005-2007), and 202/02/0251 (2002-2004), all of them evaluated as ``excellent"
