Professor Carlo Barenghi

Carlo F Barenghi was born in Milan, Italy, and he studied physics at the University of Milan and then a PhD at the University of Oregon, Eugene, Oregon, USA with Russ J Donnelly. Carlo then moved to the University of Birmingham to work with Joe Vinen as a post-doc, then Lecturer at Newcastle University, promoted Reader, and Professor since 1997.

Carlo is an elected Fellow of the American Physical Society, Fellow of the Institute of Physics and member of the
EPSRC College.
