Dr Taylor Stock

Taylor J. Z. Stock is a Lecturer in Electronic Engineering at University College London. He joined the Electronic Materials and Devices Group in the Department of Electronic & Electrical Engineering at UCL in September 2022. Taylor earned his PhD from the University of Toronto in 2015 and held postdoctoral research positions at the University of Toronto and the London Centre for Nanotechnology.

Taylor’s research interests are in thin films, surfaces and interfaces, scanning probe microscopies, and nano and atomic-scale fabrication. Material systems studied include group-IV semiconductors, small molecule organic semiconductors, metal oxides, and high-Tsuperconductors with applications in CMOS and nanoscale electronics, organic optoelectronics, chemical sensing, and quantum information. His current research efforts are concentrated on the development and scale-up of ultra-precise scanning probe-based fabrication techniques with applications in quantum information technologies.
