Dr Catherine Walsh 

Dr Catherine Walsh is an Associate Professor and UKRI Future Leader Fellow in the School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Leeds. Catherine obtained her PhD from Queen's University Belfast in 2010 where she started her research career studying the chemistry that occurs within planet-forming disks of dust and gas around new stars. She now leads a team of researchers who study the formation of stars and planets, with a focus on how chemistry in space shapes new planetary systems and influences the habitability of emerging worlds.
