Join us for the IOP's annual Celebration of Physics! This event promises a fantastic lineup of talks that bring together physicists, creative thinkers, and anyone interested in science. We’ll dive into amazing new discoveries, share interesting ideas, and enjoy our shared love for learning and understanding the world around us. This will be followed by the Awards Dinner, where together we will celebrate the incredible accomplishments of the 2024 Medal and Prize winners.

The first part of the day will take place in the Newton Building at Nottingham Trent University. You can look forward to inspirational speakers, engaging discussions, and opportunities to connect with fellow members who are influencing the future of physics. Attendance for this portion of the day is free, but please register in advance to secure your place.

The Awards Dinner will be held at the Crowne Plaza, less than a 10-minute walk from the Newton Building at Nottingham Trent University. The event will include the presentation of the 2024 Medals and Prizes. Tickets can be purchased through the website with discounts available to members. The ticket price includes a pre-dinner reception, a three-course meal with half a bottle of wine, and coffee. Please note places at the dinner are limited and allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
