Alys Clark
obtained her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Mathematical Sciences from the
University of Oxford and her Masters and PhD degrees in Applied Mathematics at
the University of Adelaide. She currently leads a research group at Auckland
Bioengineering Institute, University of Auckland that focuses on computational
modelling of reproductive health and development. A major focus of this
research is in understanding the evolution of the complex vasculatures of the
uterus and placenta in pregnancy, and how these two blood supplies interact.
