Are you studying physics but don’t know what you want to do next? Are you interested in Medical Physics but unsure what it means as a career?

This online event is organised by the IOP Medical Physics Group and will provide an opportunity to explore Careers in the Application of Physics to Medicine through two remote afternoon sessions.

Across the afternoons of the 26 of November and the 3 of December, we will be hosting career skills workshops about how to identify what career is right for you and how to sell your skills and succeed in your career goals. There will also be talks from established and early career scientists who are applying their physics degree to medicine clinically and through research or industry roles. They will give you a first-hand account of what it’s like to work in medical physics, why they do what they do, and how they got where they are. Most importantly, there will also be plenty of time for you to ask questions and discuss the different options with people who were in the same situation as you just a few years ago and those who are now experts in their field.

Please note: the two meetings taking place on 26 November and 3 December each offer distinct value and can be attended independently. View November's event website.

The online meeting commences at 2pm and concludes at 4:40pm (BST). There is no fee to attend this event for IOP members and a nominal fee for non-members, all attendees must register by completing the registration form.
