Join us for an exciting workshop on Biomedical Sensors and Detectors organised jointly by the Biological Physics and Medical Physics special interest groups of the Institute of Physics! This 1-day event will explore the development of innovative cutting-edge technologies that are beginning to revolutionize healthcare, focusing on the latest advancements in biomedical sensors and detectors used or being developed for (bio)medical diagnostics and treatment, or pre-clinical studies. Whether you're a student, researcher, or professional in the field of biological or medical physics, this workshop will offer a unique opportunity to deepen your knowledge, share insights, and connect with experts, and to engage across multiple disciplines.

An non-exclusive list of relevant topics may include:

  • Recent biomedical detector innovations in Imaging beyond X-ray based techniques
  • Micro/nanoscale sensors for in-cell / lab bench
  • Testing of new therapeutics using organoids on a chip
  • Developments in personalised biomedical diagnostics such as optical sensing and wearable technology.
