Dr. Nakita K. Noel is an EPSRC research fellow at the University of Oxford and leads the Novel Energy Materials and Advanced Characterisation research group. She obtained her undergraduate degrees in Chemistry and Physics at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine in 2011 and her DPhil in Condensed Matter Physics from the University of Oxford in 2014. She has held postdoctoral positions at the University of Oxford and Princeton University. Her research sits at the intersection of chemistry, materials science and solid-state physics, and is geared towards developing insights into the fundamental processes which govern thin-film crystallisation and defect formation in new and emerging semiconductor materials with a particular focus on halide perovskites for PV applications.
