I obtained my PhD at the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid and then joined University College London as a post-doctoral assistant. I have been at The Open University since 2005, where I am now Professor of Computational Molecular Physics. I develop methodology and software to treat low energy collisions and use these tools to study processes where molecules are modified by the interaction with electrons, positrons, photons and intense laser fields. My research focusses on processes that involve a change to the electronic state of the molecule as well as on understanding how the presence of other atoms and molecules affects the collision.
