Dr Kieran Cheetham

Kieran Cheetham is a chartered physicist and Quality System Manager at the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC), where he is currently involved in the design and build of particle accelerator hardware. 

Kieran obtained his MPhys in Physics, Astrophysics and Cosmology at Lancaster University, followed by a PhD in semiconductor thin films for optoelectronics. He spent 6 years working in industry on the research and development of large-scale thin film sputtered coatings for architectural and technical applications. Kieran has also completed two post-doc positions at University of Liverpool on novel photovoltaic materials and RF plasma treatment of powders.
