Dr Hayley Brown

Dr Hayley Brown has experience both working in academia and industry.  Since completing her EngD in 2015 on moisture barrier layers for flexible mobile phones, she has worked for an SME Plasma Quest Ltd (PQL). PQL have a specialised deposition technique to deposit coatings for a wide range of applications. Hayley’s first role in PQL was a process engineer, operating the systems to deposit the coatings. Since then, Hayley has moved more into the business operations and is now PQL’s commercial director. Hayley is passionate about outreach activities and creating opportunities for scientific networking by organising events for the Institute of Physics and Vacuum Symposium.
